All chinchillas I take to shows have been bred to my standards. I never buy a chinchilla to show at a show. The chinchillas I enter are bred by me. It has taken many years to get to where I am now. You dont get to where I am now overnight. It takes study and careful planning and a mighty help from experienced breeders years ago. Sure you can gain knowledge quickly. However it takes years to gain experience.
Since the open show at Biggar in May I have only managed to get to three shows. Distance is the problem. The shows in England are so far away. The results given below are from the Scottish N.C.S.Open show which took place at Biggar on
1st December 2002 which was held at Biggar.
Scottish Open Show at Biggar on 1st December 2002
Floppy a young standard female won Reserve show champ.
Best standard, best young standard.
her awards:
she won at Birdwell in September 02
more about my chinchillas success can be seen by cliicking on left index where they are listed.
Also in the 'high' awards list was: her sisiter named Sis another standard female:
a beige young female, a mosaic young female and a black velvet. They all did really well. results will be in the gazette.
Three people who recently bought youngsters from me all won awards too. It was a shame
the novices had to compete on the same bench as us experienced owners.
They might have got higher awards had there been a novice class.
I have explained to them they will do better in the next show at Biggar in February
as it will be an NCS chinchilla show with a novice bench instead of just the one. Sunday was
an open show at which non members could compete. February one will have full NCS
show rules, everyone who enters must have an up to date membership card.
Below are pics I was sent in mail. They are from one of my buyers who won with their
violet chinchilla who is named Pepsi.
A******* if you read this? I want her back! lol she did come through for you as I said <SMILE>
